Half of care home patients suffer drug errors
Evolve Television gained exclusive access to a government study revealing more than 50% of elderly care home residents are at risk of prescription errors made by the very people charged with looking after them. The film examined two cases where drug errors blighted the final days of care home residents: 80-year-old Florence Bell who died shortly after she was given a massive warfarin overdose and 90-year-old Aldwyn Jones who died following a morphine overdose.

Child labour making Tesco clothes
Evolve Television undertook a 3-month investigation into the
Bangladeshi garment industry. Through secret filming and
interviews with child workers and their parents, we
uncovered compelling evidence of children under 15 working
for two Bangladeshi companies that manufacture supermarket
giant Tesco’s own label clothes. While there was no
suggestion Tesco was aware of this, during the course of the
investigation, it emerged that Tesco did not know that two
of the factories visited were manufacturing its clothes,
raising questions about Tesco’s ability to enforce the
ethical standards it claims to insist upon.
